
Mr. Ghanwar Ali Leghari is a seasoned bureaucrat with extensive experience in governance and public administration. As a former Chairman of the Committee for the Welfare of Prisoners (CWP), he played a pivotal role in strengthening the institutional framework of the organization. During his tenure, he introduced the revised legal structure of the Legal Aid component, focusing on prioritizing ongoing cases and improving the efficiency of legal services provided to under-trial prisoners.
His leadership emphasized accountability, structured legal aid delivery, and alignment with the Sindh Prisons and Corrections Services Act, 2019. Under his guidance, CWP streamlined processes, ensured compliance with statutory provisions, and sought to bridge institutional gaps between prisons, the judiciary, and oversight bodies.
